About - Stade Malherbe de Caen

Fondé en 1913, le Stade Malherbe de Caen Calvados Basse Normandie doit attendre l'arrivée de Pierre Mankowski en 1983 pour retrouver ses ambitions et son statut professionnel ( 1985 ).

Le club est promu pour la première fois en première division en 1988. L'équipe se classe même cinquième du championnat en 1992 sous la houlette de Daniel Jeandupeux et dispute ainsi la Coupe de l'UEFA ( ancienne UEFA Europa League ) l'année suivante.
Le Stade Malherbe fait ensuite beaucoup d'allers-retours entre la Ligue 1 et la Ligue 2.

L'équipe joue depuis 1994 au Stade Michel-d'Ornano et est entrainée par Patrice Garande.
