Samuel est né en 1992 à Brive-la-Gaillarde. Il commence le piano à l’âge de six ans.
Après avoir passé son bac scientifique à 14 ans avec mention très bien, il entre en classes préparatoires scientifiques à Paris, avant d’intégrer l’École Normale Supérieure de la rue d'Ulm en mathématiques. Parallèlement, il entre au conservatoire du Xème arrondissement dans la classe d’Éric Vidonne, disciple de la pianiste espagnole Alicia De Larrocha.
Depuis deux ans, il prépare une thèse en géométrie algébrique dérivée à l’Université de Montpellier, tout en suivant les cours de Pascal Jourdan au conservatoire de Montpellier.
