Deux singles ont fait sensation :Rockferry et Mercy, qui ont permis à Duffy de connaître un succès international.
Dans une veine soul/jazz bien à elle, accrochant les références à Motown Records tout en traçant des mélodies chantées d'abord a capella, Duffy étonne et promet beaucoup. Une voix habitée par de très vieux fantômes soul, déjà intemporelle.
